Foredaddy
TN- Its not copying if theyre not the same. You said so yourself THTV uses wit and Jackass uses Stupidity. I dont find manual impregnanting a cow funny. Its gross, but thats the point. Who does that on TV. Nobody. Its just stupid and in that case friggin hilarious. Son Goten- I saw Jackass: The movie. Oh my god it was the bomb. The ending was so awesome. Old Jackasses, who'd a thunk it.
Transtic Nerve
Originally posted by Darkness I've seen BBC before. The humor over there is different and most of the time I really don't find it funny. Jackass is the best baby!!!!! It's a culture thing.
Yeah, a culture of stupidity for Jackass fans. I never said Jackass was the same as THTV, I said they ripped it off. Which they did. Americans tend to rip alot of their shows from the British. Regardless, I think I'll run around pushing kids into busy streets and off bridges and tape them. HAHAHA That'll be so funny. Please... what a waste of human space those people are. Flash
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Actually it's extremely funny. Because it uses wit, unlike Jackass, which is just that. A bunch of jackasses making fools of themselves. I don't find Jackass amusing at all. I find it repulsive and ouright dumb. If you don't think I tell the truth, then go ask my friends. Trigger Happy TV isn't like candid camera. The commercials describe it as "seeing the world through the eyes or a crazy person"... he does the weirdest things just for no reason. He doesn't tell the people what he's doing or that they are on camera, he just does it to random people. It's really great, you should check it out.
Wow, I totally agree with you, TN. And that doesn't happen often, heh. I was unfortunate enough to see Jackass while I was in the States... Trigger Happy TV is like, a hojillion times better. Jackass uses stupidity, THTV uses wit and real comedy. Hmm. What does that tell you about the Americans as opposed to the Brits, eh?

NorykoAngelcry
Transic Nerve and Final Flash, I resound with both of you in that Trigger Happy TV is much better comedy then Jackass. Just to say this, I am from the states, but am probably one of the wierd ones that prefer wit and true comedy over mindless stupidity to make me laugh. I have nothing against people that like Jackass -- I did think the movie was funny. . but I would just have not wasted a free movie pass to go see it, and would have rather seen it if someone rented it after it was on video. I also want to appologize to anyone I offended for going off on Bam. Thanks for setting me straight on that Foredaddy, that was pretty harsh and stupid of me to just come out swinging without even knowing anything about the guy. I did know htat he was a professional skater, only, I failed to see anything beyond that. I was just really set off that he hits his father to the point that I just wanted to bash on him. *bows in appology* Sorry for that. Neon Phoenix
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Well the British equvalent isn't... the same. It's the same idea, just it's one guy (sometimes more) that do funny weird things, not funny stupid things like Jackass does. The British guy does harm himself or others in the process, he just does really weird things. (ie: he'll be standing in a park with alot of people who are quiet and just enjoying the sun, and then his phone will ring. Well his phone is like 4 feet tall and he yells into it talking to the other person. Then he walks away. Thats it.) Trigger Happy TV is on Comedy Central every now and then. It's really quite funny, check it out. His humor is both witty and funny, unlike Jackass's which is just plain stupidity.
Oh my god I love Trigger Happy TV! I didn't know they showed it in the US? I thought it was a UK only thing Anyway, about the movie, I don't understand how it works, what is it just 90 minutes of clips? NorykoAngelcry
Yes, Neon Phoenix -- the movie is basically a very long version of the show. . -_- Ya. .

conpiracymonki
Jackass is twisted, but that's what makes you watch it. The same goes for the Tom Green Show. Having said that, I've grown out of the two, and also Trigger Happy TV, which started to bore me after he repeated what he did about an odd 20 times *big MOB*

You don't live in England, you don't know. it was only now shown in America since Comedy Central picked it up.

Rancid
Frankly I don't care about which came first, Jackass is much more funnier. If you can't laugh while watching two guys running around town in football uniforms and tackling each other and going in stores and knocking down all the racks, you've got a problem.
