James
If you've viewed the main page within the last few minutes, you may have noticed something special. ;) What does everyone think of the snow flakes? :) And...what do you want for Christmas? Sure it's a little while away...but I thought it'd be nice to add a wintery theme to OB in preparation. :)
Dan L
Um... I think that.. I can't see them.. ?? I haven't really thought about what I want yet.. Funnily enough, I don't actually want anything specific.. This is going to be my first Christmas as a Christian.. whoa..
amiboshi
I like the snowflakes. ^-^ It adds a little more color to the main page, too. All I want for Christmas is money....so I can buy the stuff I want, since no one seems to get me what I ask for anyway...:p
James
Funny, Weh (Break) couldn't see the snowflakes either! I'm not sure what it is, because even the files on the server are changed. So what you are seeing is an older version of the boards. I recommend deleting all the contents in your temp internet files folder or something like that...to prompt your computer to accept the updated imagery. When you see it, I think you'll like it. It really does add a theme without changing anything major. :) As for me...for Christmas...I don't know what I want. Maybe an Xbox if I'm lucky! lol Well, this will sound really dumb...but I want a gym membership. lol I tend to exercise at home...and I've been meaning to get a membership at my local gym (just up the road from me). But I've never really had the money for it -- I've always spent available money on other stuff. So I guess it's not the most romantic present or whatever...but hey, it's practical. lol :drunk:
Kent
I think its great that we can even mention christmas, none the less, talk about it. I was hoping that for christmas I would get something cheap and practical. Maybe a ps2 game on the side. But Im getting old enough now that I dont think I should be getting the kind of presents I used to. Maybe its time I use a christmas primarily to give rather than recieve. Who knows, maybe I'll enjoy it!

I definately need an amplifyer and a case for my bass (case for my bass *laughs*). Jeh The Stud! ;)

Manic Webb
I can't see the snowflakes either, but I think that's because I'm using my Opera browser. I hope to have a job before Christmas, so I can buy gifts for everyone like I did last year. Last year was my first year buying gifts (my theme was "books." Novels, comics, and humor stuff). For myself, I want a Playstation 2 (my PS1 stopped working!) and a new monitor for my computer. My current monitor is so old, it won't allow my resolution to reach 800x600! Do you know what it's like constantly scrolling sideways on webpages and getting cut-off by some windows when you're looking at everything through 720x480 res? The PC game I got last christmas won't even work because of this stupid monitor!
Guest Shift
I already know what I got. And I already got it, I got an Alienware Area-51 Comp. With a Cable connection...
Mitch
Hmm...this sounds rather familar to what had happend to me. When we got V.6 my comp was only showing V.5...I think that it may be your computer is using old cookies instead of new ones to display OB. I don't know though really, I'm not one to talke about the technical side of computers. I really like the new chirstmas snowflakes thing...it manages to be simple and not change the entire look of the boards drastically. I like that. As for what I am going to get for chirstmas...not to sure. Maybe some PS2 games and some more books for me to read. But I've already got a big bag of books I've boughten to read...but, I love to read, so why not?
Red
Yeah, normally the only thing that seems to refresh on the main page are the little yellow logos on the side for new posts. The snowflakes are very cool indeed James :D
And I already got it, I got an Alienware Area-51 Comp. Phantom
Very cute snowflakes... though you oshould have pumpkins right now hehe.. but im glad y'all put the effort into making these boards more neat... Semjaza
I want this bondage jacket I've been meaning to buy for a while (maybe some pants too)... An amp for my guitar, this accessory kit for my digital camera and a couple pairs of Fluevog shoes. Any one of those things would be sweet :D. Glad to see the colors seem to be working again heh. Build your own comp, it gives you more satisfaction. :) And Elite, you said "such beautiful computers they are". Alienwares have got to be the ugliest things out there. The cases are just so....bleh. As for the snowflakes, I see them when I use IE *shudders* but I don't when I use Mozilla (which rocks, no crashing!). As for what I want, I want a new bass guitar, a WW2 M1 Garand or Kar98. Either will do. ^_^ Some cash, maybe a X-Box, a Audigy Gamer sound card, Klipsh 5.1 speakers, and that's about it. O ya, and Age of Mythology. That game will own.

I even got a Live kit in today I'm willing to get rid of (I'll have to trade it in or whatever later, but there will be one eventually heh). Few games too. All these people I see want Xboxes, yet it's so hard to get rid of mine :( lol. Alienware is only bad if you pay for it yourself. As a present, I'd never complain lol. When they first started to make them, they would ship them overclocked to make them better then the competitors. But, they didn't bother to put in good cooling systems. So then people whould be running them for about 2-3 hours straight fine, then *pop*, the screen would go black and nothing would respond. It overheated and shut down. So they stopped shipping them overclocked, and they have dropped in popularity because they are no longer as good as before. Build your own, by parts for places like New Egg and you get them cheep. ^_^
Adam
I really like the snowflakes, very subtle yet classy. There's two things I want for Christmas. One is some fashionable clothes and two is to give theOtaku.com's visitors some hip new places to visit. -Adam
