Clipse & N.E.R.D.

does anyone like these groups. N.E.R.D. is the Neptunes basically. I like N.E.R.D and saw the CLipse Gridin' video and got their CD saturday. I like the way the music sounds ('tunes) and the way Clipse & others put words with it (the music). so anyone??

We had a topic on NERD long ago. They're pretty good, and I did buy the CD. I don't find myself listening to it that often anymore though.

I think NERD/The Neptunes (ha! I think of Jabberjaw everytime I say that) are very talented music producers, but frankly I'm a little tired of Pharell singing. Still, they're one of my favorite producing groups (right up there with Timbaland and Missy)

I know what you mean about Jabberjaw. There was an episode of [I]Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law[/I] where he was suing the Neptunes for taking credit for the Amazing Chan clan's music. lol.

Seriously, I know the Clipse from "Grindin" and "Gangsta Lean" (was that a really old song? I don't know but I keep thinking there might be another "Gangsta Lean" but that's just idiotic me) since I don't really listen to a lot of non-mainstream rap as opposed to mainstream. I've heard some of the Neptunes' beats on other songs but nothing made by N.E.R.D song-wise.

In my opinion, very few producing groups are as cool as Missy and Timbaland.lol. I love their beats.

I be bumpin anything that the neptunes produce they got talent and they are good skaterz too.You can watch them on the zoo york skate video along with redman and other rappers.I like the song grimey by norega they produced the track well and the beat iz tight azz hell.Does anyone like that new snoop song they produced i aint all into snoop like i used to be but i be listening to that ish.And the video iz nice:D

Yeah, these are the only songs I've heard from them too...I also like NERD/The Neptunes(which happen to be my favorite producers, by the way)...I had first heard them on Kelis' album...

Clipse don't exactly sound like they're the best rappers in the world, to tell the truth. I honestly think I wouldn't like those songs if Pharell and Chad hadn't produced them.

Oh, and the main difference between Neptunes and NERD is that The Neptunes only consist of Pharell and Chad. NERD has a third member whose name nobody seems to know.
